Treatment and rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture is always working in cooperation with other governmental and non-governmental civil society organizations, whether in Palestine, in the region or internationally in several fields with in its vision and goals. and in order to do so, TRC already signed several Memorandum of understanding with several governmental bodies including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Labor and The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, along with several non-governmental organizations including Birzeit University, Al-Najjah University, Hebron Univeristy and AlQuds University.

Further, TRC participate in several local, regional and international coalition including the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organization Network (Pngo), the Palestinian Coalition against Torture and several other coalitions and campaigns concerning human rights and protection of torture.

2009 was a really important year for the Treatment and Rehabilitation center for Victims of Torture concerning  change and development, as TRC had an agreement with an Administrative management company in order to evaluate the center projects and to set a strategic plan that can help the staff to achieve the center's goals.


About the Center

Due to the lack of a treatment and rehabilitation centers in Palestine, and certainly in a center for the victims of torture, and due to the importance of the treatment and rehabilitation for the Palestinian detainees who faces torture in the Israeli jails,The Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture (TRC) was established in 1997,   TRC is the one and only center that provides treatment and rehabilitation for victims of torture in the West Bank, TRC staff members includes processional clinical psychologists whom diagnose victims of torture on daily basis, TRC doesn't only provide treatment and rehabilitation for victims or torture, but also provide treatment and rehabilitation for the children and relatives of the victim when necessary.
TRC is a Non-Governmental Organization, licensed by the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and National Security (License No. RA-235-SC) and the Ministry of Health (License No. R/6/2012).
TRC provides essential humanitarian services for the Palestinian victims of torture, including the victims of the Israeli occupation forces violence, the Palestinian detainees, wounded, the martyrs' family members along with other poor and marginalized people.
TRC works against torture and organized violence, Further the center works on advocacy and community awareness concerning several issues including human rights, mental health, campaigns against torture and organized violence and publishes researches, reports and studies  related to these fields.
our services include initial mental, social and medical assistant and treatment as it is provided through the clinics  in the center or through field visits to those who cannot make it to the center; along with training, lecturing, capacity building and academic researching.
