Amid the difficult humanitarian conditions faced by children in Gaza’s shelters, the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture conducted specialized psychosocial support sessions aimed at helping children express and identify their emotions through emotional release techniques.
The one-hour session included a variety of activities, starting with icebreakers and introductions, followed by interactive discussions about safe spaces and sources of support in the children’s lives. The session also featured fun movement-based games and energizing musical segments to bring joy and relief. It concluded with a group reflection circle and the distribution of small gifts that brought smiles to the children’s faces.
We extend our sincere thanks to psychologist Sara Bader for coordinating and leading these sessions with dedication and compassion, making a meaningful impact on the children and creating a safe, supportive environment within the shelters.
