On Saturday 31/5/2025, The Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture organized an Open Day for 80 children residing at the YMCA shelter in Gaza City.
The event included a variety of recreational and psychosocial support activities aimed at promoting children's mental well-being and alleviating stress. Highlights of the day included:
🎨 Face painting corner (available throughout the event)
🎲 Energetic games such as Ring Toss and Land and Sea
🎭 A puppet storytelling session that shared a meaningful, moral-filled tale
🎁 And to wrap up the day, gifts were distributed to children in the shelter tents.
The event was supervised by Psychologist Sarah Bader, who ensured a safe and loving environment for the children.
