✨ The Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture Victims held a specialized five-day training course titled "Basic Diagnostic Approaches to Mental Disorders and Psychological Intervention Mechanisms", conducted at the center's training hall.
The sessions were led by a team of professional psychologists: Manar Arar, Rasha Fkheida, Alaa Hriesh, and Taline Tobbasi. The training covered a range of essential psychological and practical topics, including:
Core Concepts: Mental health, psychological crises, and initial diagnostic criteria.
Psychological trauma and psychological first aid.
Implementation and interpretation of psychological assessments and integrating results into treatment plans.
Crisis intervention techniques and building therapeutic trust.
Various therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and combining psychotherapy with pharmacological treatment.
