📢 The
Center for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture Holds a
Workshop in Jabal Al-Mukkaber to Promote Child Protection
On Tuesday, May 20, Treatment and
Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture organized an awareness workshop at
Jabal Al-Mukkaber, with the participation of a group of women. The workshop
aimed to raise awareness about child protection from violence and neglect.
The session included various interactive
activities, such as screening an awareness film about child neglect followed by
a discussion, a brainstorming session on different types of violence and the
community’s role in child protection, and group work to analyze real-life cases
of children who have experienced violence—exploring causes, indicators, and
effective intervention methods. Additionally, psychodrama techniques were used
to role-play child protection scenarios. The workshop concluded with practical recommendations
and empowering participants to spread awareness in their communities.
The participants expressed their
appreciation for the workshop and found it highly beneficial. They showed a
greater interest in child protection and committed to adopting positive
parenting methods while sharing their newfound knowledge with others. Special
