🌿 Awareness Workshop on Mental Health and
Positive Parenting 🌿
As part
of its ongoing efforts to support mental health and promote healthy family
environments, the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture
held an awareness workshop titled "Mental Health and Positive
Parenting" on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Masar Cultural Center – Beit
Hanina.
The
workshop was led by Trainer Abeer Dweik, who introduced mothers to the concept
and principles of positive parenting, highlighting the differences from
traditional punishment-based approaches. The session emphasized the importance
of encouraging positive behavior through praise and rewards, and the role of
active listening in building relationships rooted in love and respect.
The
workshop also explored the impact of positive parenting on children’s emotional
and psychological well-being and presented alternative strategies for
addressing behavioral challenges.
The
participants engaged actively, asking thoughtful questions and expressing
interest in future workshops on related topics ✨
