With great pride and honor, the Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture organized a ceremony on Tuesday, December 24, at the Carmel Hotel to celebrate a group of trainees who successfully completed their training in the Self-Help + Program. This program is part of the " Rehabilitation and MHPSS Service Provision to Palestinians Exposed to Violence and Torture" project, funded by the Danish Institute Against Torture (DIGNITY). The initiative reflects the center's commitment to enhancing individual and community resilience and providing the necessary tools to overcome psychological and social challenges.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the General Director of the center, Dr. Khader Rasras, and attended by the head of the Treatment Department, Manar Arar, along with psychologists Alaa Daana, Sahar Mohammad, and Linda Mustafa. This project holds significant importance in the Palestinian context, where many individuals face ongoing challenges due to occupation and systemic violence. By promoting mental health and psychosocial support, the project empowers individuals to restore their psychological balance and build communities capable of enduring crises. It also serves as a practical model of community solidarity, strengthening human connections and opening new pathways for adaptation and healing on both individual and collective levels. The center continues its efforts to bring about positive and sustainable change in the lives of affected individuals, reaffirming its humanitarian mission to support human rights and enhance mental health.
