On Wednesday 16/10/2024,
Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture held an educational
workshop under the title of “Strengthening community capacities to identify and
prevent responses to violence against children” in Sheikh Lolo Mosque in the Old
City of Jerusalem. Trainer Mohamad Tawil talked about several issues like
violence, its types and specificity in the Palestinian society, the impact of
collective awareness on individuals' behaviour with children, psychosocial
development at different stages, and intervention when needed. Special thanks
to Psychologists Asmaa Tofakji, Nemaat Natsheh, Alaa Abbasi, and Linda Mostafa for
the coordination, and Sheikh Lolo Mosque for hosting this workshop.
