On Sunday 18/02/2024, Treatment
and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture held a workshop, with 20
mental health care providers in Hebron, under the title "Psychological
First Aid and Crisis Intervention", funded by project HOPE. The workshop
included major topics: psychological disorders, how to treat them, the impact
of war on these disorders, their causes, and how they are formed and diagnosed.
The workshop also shed light on psychological first aid and crisis
intervention, as well as methods of intervention during emergency situations.
Doctor Asaad Abu Ghalion, a
Psychiatrist at TRC, joined this session to talk about disorders, symptoms,
ways of diagnosis, as well as social stigma.
