On Tuesday 14/11/2023, Treatment and Rehabilitation Center conducted a workshop for medical students under the title of “Hidden evidence of Torture” which is included in a series of workshops funded by the EU project “Strengthening and Enhancing Rehabilitation, Prevention of Torture, and Accountability in Palestine.” 19 students attended the workshop.
The workshop touched on the concept of the psychological impact of torture and the best methods of dealing with torture. Proper identification, documentation and response to evidence of psychological torture and the best ways to deal with the psychological effects were discussed, as well as the best methods of dealing with cases of torture.
The workshop lasted 6 hours in the Center hall in Al-Bireh, and Wisam Sehwail from TRC conducted the workshop.
