The Treatment and Rehabilitation
Center (TRC) visited Ramallah Recreational Center on Thursday 12/10/2023 to assess
the situation of the stranded workers from the Gaza Strip. The meeting focused
solely on providing psychological first aid and crisis intervention in groups. Providing
support included basic psychological aid to people who suffer from trauma,
crisis, or any other events that may cause mental fatigue for them or their
families.
The intervention aims to help them
deal with direct psychological effects from traumatic events, prevent the
deterioration of health issues, and minimize the negative psychological effect
on their daily lives. They offered basic information and guidelines for dealing
with trauma, minimizing its impact, as well as providing social support, and
helping them cope with the difficult times they are experiencing.
The numbers of staff members and the
free hotline number has been given to all workers to communicate whether it be
from inside or outside the Strip.
