Jerusalem
On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, TRC
held a training workshop titled "Enhancing Community Capacities in
Identifying, Preventing, and Responding to Violence against Children and
Ensuring Better Child Protection from Various Forms of Violence." The
workshop took place in the Old City of Jerusalem at The African Community
Society (ACS).
This event was part of UNICEF project
titled "Safeguarding Children’s rights in East Jerusalem: Reaching out
with specialized rehabilitation and therapeutic services to the most vulnerable
children and their families in East Jerusalem". Approximately 30

The workshop aimed to enhance the
capacities of mothers, fathers, and caregivers in building secure and healthy
relationships between parents and children. Additionally, it aimed to foster
more engaged communities in protecting the rights of all children to grow in an
environment free from all forms of violence and discrimination, regardless of
age, gender, disability, or any other social or economic harm.
The workshop was conducted by The Trainer Diaa Othman and coordinated by
Psychologists Asma Tufakji and Ghada Sukhoun, under the supervision of Treatment
